Nonlinear Nature of WarUntil recently Newtonian or linear paradigm remained as a dominant one for the West and war like no other sphere of the social life turned out to be under its influence. The comprehension of the linearity restrictions against the background of the paradigm shift in some fields of science and social spheres made the development of the new war vision and the intent consideration of the metaphor of nonlinearity actual. The development of the nonlinear attitude to the sphere of war in the West is closely related with Clausewitz, who actually is the symbol of nonlinearity in war affaires. War must be consider as the complex adaptive system, the characteristic features of which are unpredictablity, nonlinear dynamics, and the ability to demonstrate adaptivity to the changes both in the system itself and in the environment. In the last decades military science is in need of a new framework that better describes the true nature of war. The comprehension of the nonlinearity of the war is considered to be an important and necessary stage to the overestimation of the principles, strategy and tactics of war. I. .
